The Steeples of Frankfort

Frankfort, Kentucky is famous for the steeples that rose about the downtown Capitol City. Sawyier often included the steeples of the old Federal Courthouse/Post Office that until recently was the Paul Sawyier Public Library, the old Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the Franklin County Courthouse, and the First Baptist Church.

This watercolor includes the old covered bridge and several of the other structures that were along the northern bank of the Kentucky River.  The United States of America flag can also be send above the Federal Courthouse.

This watercolor is in excellent condition considering that it is over 100 years old.
